We’re living through seismic times.

Not just because AI is rewriting the rules of everything — work, creativity, power, truth. But because we’re reaching a civilizational inflection point that late Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson captured perfectly:

“We have Paleolithic emotions; medieval institutions; and god-like technology.”

This isn’t just poetic. It’s the core problem of our era.

Our technology mirrors and amplifies the systems that build it. When those systems are unconscious — reactive, tribal, short-term — our god-like tools become dysfunction amplifiers:

— Social media platforms designed without consciousness → addiction, polarization, mental health crisis

— AI trained on broken incentive structures → misalignment, bias, existential risk

— Crypto projects built with medieval governance → FTX, Terra Luna, DAO implosions— Healthcare systems treating symptoms, not root causes → chronic disease epidemic

The pattern is everywhere: our technology outpaces our wisdom.

The Solution: Conscious Systems Design

In 2006, my son was diagnosed with autism. After two years of integrative medicine — combining mainstream and alternative approaches guided by systems thinking — he made remarkable progress.

That experience crystallized something I’d been studying for three decades across systems theory, AI development, World Bank tech infrastructure projects, and building 9 ventures in the Valley:

Consciousness isn’t mystical. It’s a systems architecture.

And if we can formalize that architecture — make it testable, buildable, scalable — we can upgrade how we design everything: ourselves, our startups, our institutions, our AI, our civilization.

That’s why I founded Sysdom (read the Invitation Whitepaper).

That’s why I published ConsciOS v1.0: A Viable Systems Architecture for Human and AI Alignment.

And that’s why Seismic Times exists.
